Job Description

Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - MSB 659- Grantwell 

Posting Close Date: 5/15/2025

Position Start Date: 8/01/2025

Required Degree: The Faculty Advisor should have a Master’s degree in Public Administration or Nonprofit Management.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: 

  • The Faculty Advisor should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, Fundraising, or Consulting.
  • Should have good networking skills and the ability to work closely with graduate students.

Duties/Expectations: 

  • The Grantwell course is a student-led, faculty-advised course on philanthropic grantmaking, grant writing, and nonprofit consulting.
  • The Grantwell course typically completes 4-6 community-based projects per semester, working with nonprofits, foundations, and other organizations in Utah and throughout the US.
  • This position will advise student leaders who serve as Executive Officers and Senior Project Officers, as well as students in the class and other student volunteers.
  • The class is 1.5 Credits per semester and meets once per week for instruction and advising.
  • The Faculty Advisor helps the student teams find community partners to work with, develop projects, and successfully complete their projects.
  • The Faculty Advisor also works with a Grantwell Advisory Board, comprised of alumni and nonprofit professionals who help guide the students and the program.

This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
