Job Description

Contract consulting opportunity for a Senior Back End Developer with Java/Kotlin experience. Client requirements:*Work authorization status: US Citizen or GC holder*W2 hourly only (no Indep)*Local to MN - will be hybrid onsite 2-3 days/week onsite in Minneapolis, MN areaWhat you'll do: You'll support a team that focuses on retail media and advertising technology, systems that support campaign management, reporting, billing integrations, and user experiences.

building and enhancing seller-facing campaign management workflows,
integrating with external advertising platforms and ad-serving systems,
implementing reporting, spend tracking, and billing event pipelines,
improving campaign synchronization and product eligibility systems,
and modernizing frontend and backend architecture for scalability and maintainability.

Key Skills :

7-10 years of backend development experience
Strong Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot/WebFlux expertise
Experience with microservices and REST API development
Strong understanding of Kafka and event-driven architecture
Knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, and async processing
Strong SQL and PostgreSQL/MySQL performance optimization skills
Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native applications
Production support, monitoring, and observability experience
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Ability to independently own features/services end-to-end
Good cross-team communication and collaboration skills
Experience with scalable and high-throughput systems

ITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $52.00 - $64.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
