Job Description
Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Commercial Lines Account Manager to their team in Fairfield, NJ.
Job Summary:
Join our team as an Commercial Insurance Account Manager with a focus on construction clients. In this role, you'll support experienced account managers and producers in servicing contractors, builders, and developers. You'll learn the fundamentals of commercial insurance while helping manage policies that protect job sites, equipment, and workers. This is a great opportunity to build a career in insurance with hands-on training and exposure to the fast-paced world of construction risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day servicing of construction accounts, including issuing certificates of insurance, processing endorsements, and updating client records.
- Support the team in managing coverage such as general liability, workers' compensation, builder's risk, and commercial auto.
- Help review contracts and insurance requirements under supervision to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Respond to client inquiries and carrier communications with professionalism and accuracy.
- Participate in training sessions to build knowledge of insurance products, agency systems, and construction industry exposures.
- Collaborate with senior account managers and producers to deliver excellent client service and maintain strong relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience); coursework in business, finance, or risk management a plus.
- Willingness to obtain Property & Casualty license within 90 days of hire.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with agency management systems is a plus but not required.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
