Job Description

Position Summary

TEDCO is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Coordinator, Government Programs & Executive Operations to provide administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Chief Governmental Program Development, Affairs & Policy Officer and the Assistant Director, Government Programs, Research & Strategic Development.

This role will serve as a key administrative and operational support position responsible for calendar management, meeting coordination, legislative and reporting support, communications, document preparation, and office coordination for TEDCO's government affairs, program development, and policy initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, professional, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and exceptional attention to detail.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Governmental Program Development, Affairs & Policy Officer and Assistant Director.
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting materials, agendas, and follow-up action items.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, briefing materials, and other documents.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Process expense reports, invoices, procurement requests, and administrative documentation.

Program & Legislative Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating legislative hearings, meetings, stakeholder events, and ecosystem engagement activities.
  • Help track legislative deadlines, reporting requirements, and program deliverables.
  • Support preparation and submission of reports, testimony, and briefing materials.
  • Coordinate information requests and assist in maintaining program records.
  • Assist with Board and committee meeting coordination and materials preparation.

Communications & Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as an administrative point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meeting invitations, stakeholder communications, and follow-up activities.
  • Assist with drafting meeting summaries, action items, and status updates.
  • Support coordination with legislators, agency representatives, consultants, and ecosystem partners.

Office & Operational Coordination

  • Maintain project trackers, calendars, databases, and reporting schedules.
  • Assist in organizing special projects, events, workshops, and ecosystem engagement activities.
  • Support internal coordination across TEDCO departments.
  • Provide additional operational and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of administrative, executive support, program coordination, or office management experience.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting senior leadership or government affairs teams.
  • Familiarity with Maryland State government or legislative processes.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or stakeholder engagement activities.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with employees generally expected to work on-site at TEDCO's offices at least two days per week, subject to business and operational needs. The role may occasionally require attendance at meetings, hearings, or events outside normal business hours.
