Job Description

Critical Care Pediatric Nurse PractitionerJoin our esteemed healthcare team as a Critical Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and make a significant impact on the lives of critically ill children and adolescents. This vital role offers the opportunity to work within a leading Level I Trauma Center, providing high-quality pediatric critical care in a dynamic hospital setting. If you are dedicated to pediatric excellence and eager to advance your career, this position offers an exceptional platform to do so.Required Skills:

Valid Arizona APRN license and Board Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience
Proficiency in performing intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and lumbar punctures
Certifications in PALS and BLS
DEA certification for medication prescribing
Strong clinical judgment and critical care skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with pediatric trauma cases, including neurosurgery
Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
Additional certifications related to pediatric advanced practices

Preferred Education and Experience:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
At least one year of recent PICU experience in a Level I trauma center setting
Prior exposure to pediatric trauma and complex patient care

Other Requirements:

Active licensure and DEA registration in Arizona
Ability to work night shifts (4x24-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and teamwork
Willingness to support staff as needed during coverage dates in July
