Overview
Job Description
- Create and maintain tooling designs using CAD software (primarily SolidWorks)
- Develop detailed drawings for new tooling and tool modifications
- Support the transition and standardization of design systems and software
- Generate CNC programs and support machining processes
- Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure designs are manufacturable
- Interpret customer prints and translate them into tooling concepts and designs
- Assist in building routers and documentation for production processes
- Revise and improve existing designs for efficiency, quality, and performance
- Take on increasing ownership of tooling design and development
- Support continuous improvement and standardization efforts
- Grow into a lead engineering or advanced design role over time
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
- Hours: First Shift
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred
- Equivalent hands-on experience with CAD/CAM or CNC programming considered
- Experience in manufacturing or tooling environments is a plus
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or CAM software (such as CAMWorks) preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer drawings
- Understanding of CNC machining and tooling concepts is a plus
