Position Summary...
Walmart is a people-led, tech-powered company, and we’re searching for an experienced tech and product communicator who wants to be at the center of it. This role is a critical member of the team responsible for positioning Walmart as the leader of the next era of retail, highlighting our use of emerging technologies like Agentic/GenAI/AI to power this transformation. As a leader within our communications team, supporting both Walmart Global Tech and our AI Acceleration, Product, and Design organizations, you’ll drive 360-degree communications strategies for customer innovations and enterprise technology strategy, spanning executive, internal, external, and digital channels. You will serve as a strategic counselor to partners, while telling multi-faceted stories about how technology and product strategy is driving meaningful business impact. You’ll partner with tech leadership to elevate reach and understanding of Walmart Global Tech and the future of retail, for both internal and external audiences. We need someone who’s fired up and ready to lean in. - Create bold strategy for cohesive storytelling, utilizing owned and earned channels, to reach internal and external audiences
- Partner with the extended communications team, tech and business leaders, and stakeholders to source compelling customer innovation and enterprise technology stories that drive thought leadership
- Communicate with brevity and purpose, making complex tech topics simple and easy to understand, regardless of format
- Think differently, seeing around corners and connecting dots to tell richer stories that reinforce technology thought leadership
- Modernize the way we communicate, constantly testing new ways to make an impact
- Collaborate across global communications team members, improving culture and ways of working
- Experience in tech and/or product communications, both in-house and at a big agency
- Confident storyteller, creative thinker, and innovator, energized by shaping the technology narrative of a Fortune 1 enterprise
- Strong relationships with national technology and business media, with the ability to define and protect stories through media relations
- Strong business acumen and an ability to connect the dots between innovation and impact
- Success navigating highly matrixed organizations and able to gain consensus among large groups
- Extremely high standards and care about the details
- Proven track record of exceeding goals and expectations, moving with speed and flexibility
