Join a highly respected environmental consulting firm with more than 45 years of expertise in hydrogeology, groundwater investigations, and environmental remediation as an Environmental Engineer (PE/EIT) in Tucson, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a tight-knit team tackling complex environmental challenges including contaminated site investigations, remediation systems, landfill services, and water resource projects while building a long-term career in a technically diverse consulting environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Environmental Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar discipline (Master’s preferred) – Lead and support environmental investigation and remediation projects
- 5+ years of environmental consulting experience – Manage and execute contaminated site investigations, hydrogeologic evaluations, and remediation efforts
- EIT certification, PE license, or working toward PE preferred – Oversee technical project work and contribute to engineering design and analysis
- Strong technical expertise in contaminant hydrogeology – Analyze data related to petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel additives, chlorinated solvents, PAHs, and heavy metals
- Experience with field investigations and groundwater studies – Supervise soil and groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and drilling oversight
- Strong technical writing and analytical skills – Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and remediation documentation
- Project management and organizational abilities – Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and coordinate multidisciplinary project tasks
- Proficiency with MS Office; ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil, Python, MATLAB, or groundwater modeling tools a plus – Support technical analysis, mapping, and reporting tasks
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical and dental coverage with approximately 90% employer subsidy, vision coverage, 401(k) with match, and paid time off including approximately two weeks of PTO plus separate sick leave accrual.
