Subject Line: Position Title and State you are LocatedWe’re seeking an Intermediate/Associate Process Chemical/Mechanical Engineer in Essex Junction, VT to support projects for advanced industrial and commercial facilities. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients and multi-discipline engineering teams in a fast-paced environment to develop design requirements and construction documents for manufacturing tool installations, tenant improvements, and facility infrastructure upgrades.
Responsibilities include design and layout of process piping, HVAC, exhaust, fire suppression, plumbing, process chemical and gas systems, as well as equipment layout and retrofit of existing building systems. The role also involves engineering calculations, equipment sizing and specification, utility requirement development, and support during construction, including RFIs and submittals.
You’ll collaborate directly with clients, contractors, equipment owners, and manufacturers to deliver complex facility and utility designs for highly technical manufacturing environments.
Primary Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related major
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office with fluency in design drawings, word processing, excel spreadsheets, etc...
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing facility design, supporting tool installation projects preferred
- EIT or ability to obtain
- Facilities-related engineering experience preferred
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Passion for buildings and construction as the focus of this role will be industrial/manufacturing facilities
- Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction
- Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs
