Overview
OWL Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment in the field. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined, safety-focused professional who enjoys troubleshooting and working independently.
As a technician, you will be the front line of service, ensuring critical systems such as POS equipment, alarms, and security devices operate efficiently across client locations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical equipment
- Service devices such as cash registers, coin changers, alarms, and POS systems
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
- Complete service requests and maintenance repairs in a timely, professional manner
- Review work orders, manuals, and technical drawings
- Utilize testing devices, hand tools, and power tools
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Travel 30–40% overnight, including support for installations and upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation using company systems and mobile devices
Requirements
Must Have
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and be a strong problem-solver
- Strong attention to safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Ability to travel 30–40% overnight
- Good driving record
- Proficiency with computers and smartphones
Nice to Have
- Experience with POS systems (Verifone, NCR)
- Experience with alarm systems
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical equipment
- Ability to complete service requests professionally and efficiently
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and technical drawings
- Experience using testing devices and hand/power tools
- Willingness to support installations and upgrades in other regions
