Job Description

Job Title: Financial Coordinator

Location: Providence, RI (onsite)

Employment Type: Temporary

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Coordinator to join our client's team in the athletics and recreation sector. In this role, you will contribute to processing day-to-day financial transactions, keeping current on business processes and policies, and assisting with reports.

Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions in Workday, including supplier invoices, reimbursements, requisitions, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure compliance with University spending and documentation policies.
  • Keep up to date with new functionality and changes in Workday updates.
  • Assist with reconciling budget coding errors and prepare statistical transaction reports.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in financial reporting and spreadsheet applications with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Workday, Excel, Google Suite, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

  • Familiarity with Brown University policies and procedures.
  • Customer service experience with a strong service-minded philosophy.
  • Schedule – Monday – Friday  8am-4pm, but starting 8/7 we will be operating from 8:30am-5pm
