Job Description

Job Title: Histologist TechJob Location: IdahoFacility Type: Hospital based labNumber of PAs or HTs when fully staffed: 2 histotechsStart Date: AsapEnd Date: 13 weeks, potential to extendSchedule: M-F; 0500-1330 or 0930-1800Weekly Estimated Pay or Pay Range: $1915 gross weeklySummary of position: ·Logging incoming tissues·Embedding tissues·Cutting tissue for staining·Place slides on staining equipment·Filing slides and cassettes

HTL certification from ASCP is required (not just HT cert)

MUST BE A CERTIFIED HISTO TECH (HTL) WITH (QIHC) IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAINS AND TROUBLESHOOTING OF PROGRAMS AND PROTOCOLS.

Qualifications: Must have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

Embedding
Perform Microtomy
IHC Experience
Special Stains
Managing/troubleshooting staining instrumentation

Preferred: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Experience working with little supervision
higher certification (HTL) with more extensive training which allows them to do Immunohistochemistry stains and troubleshooting of programs and protocols
