Job Description

IT Project Manager-Anchorage, Alaska Our direct client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology initiatives that support business operations across their Alaska assets. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while aligning with corporate strategy and operational priorities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity policies
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business units
  • Track and report on project performance, including KPIs, timelines, and financials
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and tools
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in the energy or oil & gas industry
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with upstream oil and gas systems and operations
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and enterprise IT architecture
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
