Lab Technician

Lab Technician Pay Rate $20.00/hour to $23.00/hour Hours Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm Duration 6 Months Location Chanhassen, MN Qualifications: 1-3 year of demonstrated laboratory experience- Computer literate in Microsoft Office products- Word, Excel and PowerPoint.- Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.- Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence: - perform mechanical/electrical/thermal properties testing of thermal interface materials and coating- Evaluate, collect, and record data.- Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook/ppt.- Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details. Responsibilities: 1. Basic experience in the lab/workshop setting 2. Understanding of safety 3. Willing to learn and trainable 4. Attention to detail 5. Comfortable with Excel sheets 6.
