What You'll Do
- Lead boundary, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and topographic surveys across diverse project types
- Supervise and mentor field crews, providing technical direction and professional development
- Manage survey projects from kickoff through closeout - ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Review and prepare plats, legal descriptions, right-of-way maps, and construction drawings
- Operate and oversee use of GPS, robotic total stations, laser scanners, UAVs, and advanced survey technologies
- Collaborate directly with clients, project managers, engineers, and public agencies
- Serve as signing surveyor in accordance with state licensing requirements
- Champion safety, data integrity, and continuous improvement
- Continue learning and growing professionally
What You Bring
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
- 5-8+ years of land surveying experience
- Strong knowledge of boundary law, construction surveying, and local land use regulations
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Leica or Topcon workflows
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, projects, and client relationships
- Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed

Compensation & Benefits
Widseth offers competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications, including:
- Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000 (based on experience)
