What will you do?

In this position, you will join our Land Infrastructure team in GDC supporting QLD where you will play an integral part in a national team of highly skilled specialists that bring ideas to life for our clients. With a focus on growing our Land Infrastructure business and improving the sustainability and social outcomes of our projects, we are actively recruiting for those passionate about working collaboratively and building on technical knowledge within this discipline.

We know that the work we do is vital in assisting our world's economic development and it's the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are some of the key things you will do:

  • Lead the design for a variety of projects such as precinct development from larger community developments as extensions to our major metropolitan areas from medium to large subdivisions, infrastructure planning & design for government and non-government clients, and stormwater and utilities design for major transport projects, site development for energy clients, Olympics opportunities.

  • Apply your local industry experience to solving our clients' problems

  • Lead the conversion of analyses and preliminary design ideas into developed designs suitable for tender and construction

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods including written analyses and reports

  • Bring your client-centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and develop new business using your existing industry networks

  • Apply your project management and people leadership skills to achieve positive financial outcomes for Aurecon, and technically-sound outcomes for our chosen clients

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering

  • At least 10 years of relevant design experience within Australia on projects across roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services designs, and pavement design

  • Strong knowledge of design software such as 12D and or Civil 3D

  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills

  • Demonstrated experience liaising with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors

  • Experience taking leadership roles on project design work
