Job Description

Northwest Specialty is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused LPN to join our dynamic Urgent Care team!

In this role, you will work alongside experienced providers and clinical staff in a busy urgent care setting, providing high-quality care and support to patients of all ages under the scope of your license. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections, performing venipuncture and specimen processing, conducting urinalysis and EKG testing, starting IV's, and assisting with in-office procedures. You will also be responsible for preparing and cleaning procedure rooms, maintaining proper infection control standards, safely disposing of biohazard and sharps waste, and ensuring clinical supplies are fully stocked and organized. As an Licensed Practical Nurse, you will also have the opportunity to expand your clinical skillset through employer-provided training in basic radiology, allowing for continued professional growth and development within the organization.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.

Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Aware of standards of cleaning and performs in accordance with them.

Ability to relate and work effectively with others.

Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.

Is aware of standard and performs in accordance with them.

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes and medical terminology preferred.

A graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Current LPN licensure in the State of Idaho is required.

Ability to complete internally provided radiology and IV training courses within six months of hire.

Previous experience is preferred.
