Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and accountable Live-In Resident Assistant to support individuals on their journey to stability and wellness This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive living environment while assisting guests/residents with daily needs. This is a hands-on role suited for individuals who value service, structure, and community, and who can maintain appropriate boundaries while building rapport.
Essential Functions:
Program Support
Help residents with basic life skills (e.g., time management, hygiene routines, daily structure)
Encourage participation in treatment, group activities, and house meetings
Support intake and orientation of new residents
Resident Supervision & Support
Conduct regular check-ins with residents and provide supportive, recovery-oriented engagement
Observe and document resident behavior, participation, and any incidents or concerns
Support crisis de-escalation and follow established protocols when concerns arise
Safety & Compliance
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with residents at all times
Respond to emergencies in accordance with established procedures
Support compliance with licensing, health, and safety standards
Documentation & Communication
Maintain accurate, timely reports of activities, incidents, and resident updates
Communicate effectively with case managers, clinical staff, and leadership regarding resident status
Report policy violations, safety issues, or behavioral concerns promptly
House Operations
Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of common areas; support light housekeeping oversight with residents
Assist with food coordination and basic household organization
Maintain inventory of basic supplies and report needs
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in human services, behavioral health, recovery support, or residential settings preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage conflict, maintain composure, and exercise sound judgment
Good computer skills for documentation
CPR/First Aid certification
CPI certified
Work Environment & Expectations
Live on-site and be available to meet the needs of the program
Ability to navigate a dynamic environment with individuals in early recovery
Must maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
Compensation
Housing included (details provided during hiring process)
From $17/hr
