Middle School Life Science Teacher - Leave Replacement (Fall Semester)

Princeton Day School is seeking an experienced Middle School Life Science Teacher to cover a leave replacement from August 18th, 2026 to January 22nd, 2027.

Successful candidates will be eager to provide an engaged science classroom, using a variety of research-based instructional tools, including inquiry-based and project-based teaching and learning. In addition to classroom teaching, a teacher contributes to the community life of PDS outside of the classroom at the direction of the Department Chair and Head of School.

For this position, the ideal candidate is expected to:

• Teach two to three sections of 6th grade Life Science.
• Serve as an advisor in the Middle School (approximately 6-8 students).
• Assist in Middle School-specific duties and extra-curricular areas of the school.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes:

• Bachelor's Degree in math or a science discipline (Masters preferred).
• Teaching experience in Middle School.
• Proven success in teaching and curriculum development.
• Forward-thinking and creative teacher.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Experience with technology integration.
• Experience with differentiated instruction.
• Creative and resourceful, with a sense of humor and strong work ethic.
• A passion for learning and a commitment to academic excellence and student achievement.

Compensation Range: $33,250-$53,500 for this 1 Semester leave replacement assignment (this role is NOT eligible for benefits)
