SEEKING: PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Have you dreamed of owning and running a drink trailer — but don't have the startup capital?Do you have experience in the food or beverage truck industry and the heart to work alongside individuals with developmental disabilities?
Tyler's Place, a nonprofit organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities, is exploring the launch of a mobile drink trailer (coffee, dirty sodas, or similar concept) that would be staffed by our members as paid employees and operated at community, school, and special needs events.
We are seeking a mission-driven partner to help bring this vision to lifeAbout the Opportunity:
- This is a partnership role, not a traditional job.
- Tyler's Place will provide startup funding and equipment
- The selected partner will help build, operate, and grow the drink trailer
- Compensation will be structured as a base /profit share partnership agreement
- This role is hands-on and community-facing
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the selection and purchase of the drink trailer, including guidance on size, layout, and equipment needs
- Advise on essential vs. optional equipment based on menu and event types
- Oversee daily operations of the trailer
- Order supplies and manage inventory
- Develop basic cost, labor, and revenue projections
- Train, support, and work alongside paid employees with developmental disabilities
- Manage event execution, setup, and breakdown
- Ensure health, safety, and food compliance standards are met
Who We're Looking For The right partner will have:
- Experience in the food truck, coffee trailer, or mobile beverage industry
- Strong organizational and operational skills
- Comfort with budgeting, inventory, and staffing
- A patient, adaptable, and supportive leadership style
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or a strong commitment to inclusive employment
- The emotional intelligence to work in a special needs environment
