About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life

This is a well-balanced role for an experienced NP or PA who enjoys working across both clinic and inpatient environments within pain management, spine, or neurosurgical care. You’ll be part of a focused, specialty-driven team managing patients with complex spinal and pain-related conditions, contributing to both continuity of care and procedural pathways.

Your day may include evaluating patients in clinic, developing and adjusting treatment plans, and supporting perioperative or post-acute care in the inpatient setting. You’ll work closely with physicians and other providers, helping guide patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. The pace is steady but manageable, supported by a structured schedule and no call responsibilities.

This role offers a strong mix of autonomy and collaboration. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your clinical judgment, build patient relationships, and stay engaged in a specialty area that blends medical management with procedural and surgical exposure.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • True work-life balance with a 4-day work week and no call
  • Exposure to pain, spine, and neurosurgical patient populations
  • Blend of inpatient and outpatient care for variety and continuity
  • Collaborative team environment with specialty-focused providers
  • Opportunity to deepen expertise in a high-demand, procedure-adjacent field
  • Structured schedule with predictable hours

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior experience in pain management, spine, neurosurgery, or PM&R
  • Comfortable working across both clinic and inpatient settings
  • Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate closely with physicians
  • Efficient, organized, and adaptable in a specialty care environment

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with pain and spine-related conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in both clinic and inpatient settings
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
  • Manage follow-up care, medication adjustments, and care coordination
  • Support perioperative and post-procedural patient care as applicable
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and expectations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists and support staff
  • Participate in care planning and case discussions
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards of care

Required Qualifications

  • Active or eligible for Arizona licensure
  • CPR and ACLS certification

  • Exposure to procedural or surgical workflows
  • Experience managing complex or chronic pain patients
  • Comfort with fast-paced specialty care settings

This Role Is Likely a Fit If You…

  • Enjoy specialty care with a focus on spine and pain conditions
  • Want a mix of clinic and inpatient responsibilities
  • Prefer a structured schedule with no call requirements
  • Value both autonomy and team-based collaboration
  • Are looking to deepen expertise in a high-impact clinical niche

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You…

  • Are seeking a generalist or primary care position
  • Want a high-procedure or OR-heavy role without clinic responsibilities
  • Prefer variable or shift-based scheduling over consistent weekday hours
  • Are early in your career without relevant specialty experience

Why Join Us
