About Sage Care

Sage Care is a fast-growing, early-stage healthcare startup founded by exceptional leaders from Apple, Uber, Carbon Health and backed by top-tier venture capital (General Catalyst, Chelsea Clinton). With a strong customer pipeline, Sage Care is transforming healthcare by simplifying care navigation.

Our platform makes it easier for patients to find the right doctor, helps providers focus on those who need them most, and ensures faster access to care—delivering better care and stronger economic outcomes at scale through harnessing the latest AI innovations.

About the role

We’re seeking a Partner Engineer with deep experience in EHR integration to help health systems unlock the full potential of our AI-powered solutions for care navigation.

In this role, you’ll act as both a technical expert and a trusted partner—leading seamless implementations, ensuring long-term success, and building strong collaborations with our healthcare partners. Your work will directly shape how patients connect to care, empower providers, and redefine healthcare access at scale.

In this role, you'll:

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for Sage’s health system strategic partners—leading efforts to integrate our AI platform with EHR systems, ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient deployment.

  • Design and implement AI-driven solutions tailored to each partner’s unique clinical workflows and business goals, enhancing operational effectiveness and patient outcomes.

  • Gather and analyze technical feedback, monitor system performance metrics, and turn insights into actionable improvements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges swiftly to maintain momentum throughout ongoing implementations and ensure partner satisfaction.

  • Recommend system enhancements and stay ahead of evolving industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously drive long-term success.

Required qualifications

  • Solid engineering background, with a strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and cloud technologies.

  • Hands-on experience integrating with EHR systems — familiarity with EHR APIs, data flows, or modular components is highly desirable.

  • Excellent client-facing communication skills — confidently engage with strategic partners, understand their clinical and technical needs, and translate them into precise, effective integration requirements and solutions.

  • Willingness to travel approximately twice per month within the U.S. to collaborate in person with partners.
