Overview
Job Description
- Read and follow spring orders to understand required specifications.
- Select the closest matching spring and prepare it for modification if needed.
- Cut springs to the correct length using a torch and hand tools.
- Install cones and complete spring assembly according to order requirements.
- Learn to identify different spring types, including left-hand and right-hand wound springs.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment.
- Check finished springs to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
- Follow all safety procedures, especially when working with heated materials and tools.
- Assist in Production or Shipping areas as requested.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
- Maintains a high level of quality to eliminate mistakes.
- Operate with Passion, Energy and Enthusiasm.
- Always remain safety conscious.
- High level of attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Able to lift up to 75lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret orders.
- Sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills in all situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and written, to ensure a clear understanding of work instructions and safety protocols.
- Have prompt and reliable attendance.
