Job Description

Are you ready to optimize production efficiency and support a leading company in the Food and Animal Safety industry?

About The Role

The Production Planner plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining production schedules that support our client's manufacturing operations. This position ensures alignment of materials, capacity, and labor to meet customer demand while minimizing disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Analyze data related to production, inventory, and demand to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to address material shortages, capacity constraints, or changing priorities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Quality teams to execute production plans effectively.
  • Maintain accurate production planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Communicate production schedules, changes, and constraints to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an office or business environment required.
  • Experience with MRP systems and customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.

  • Physical demands typical of an office environment.

Work Environment

  • Onsite position in Pleasantville, Iowa.
