Job Description

About the role You'll own quality in the Accounting domain - a growing area with no dedicated QA today. You'll cover new functionality and regression, reduce production risks, and build automated test coverage for critical financial flows.

What you'll work on

End-to-end accounting flows across REST APIs, Kafka, databases, scheduled jobs, and file-based outputs
Integrations with financial services and internal systems in a microservices environment
Test automation for critical accounting scenarios using Java or Kotlin

What you'll be responsible for

Design, maintain, and execute test cases for Accounting services and integrations
Perform manual and automated testing of critical accounting functionality
Validate data integrity across APIs, messaging systems, databases, and file-based workflows
Analyze test results, logs, and database records to identify defects and support investigations
Work closely with Developers and DevOps to improve test automation tools and environments
Contribute to test strategy and suggest improvements to QA and automation approach
Report testing status, risks, and issues with clear visibility into quality for the team

What we need

3+ years of experience in QA Automation
Experience in API testing (manual and automated) using Java or Kotlin
Background in testing financial platforms - banks, brokers, exchanges, or similar
Solid understanding of integration testing across APIs, messaging systems, databases, and file workflows
Good SQL skills and ability to validate data in databases
Ability to analyze logs, investigate defects, and identify root causes
Strong communication skills and ability to describe complex issues clearly and precisely
