Position Summary

The Quality Assistant reports to the PACE Center Manager and provides daily administrative and operational support for quality activities within the PACE program. This position is responsible for monitoring ADT reports in EPIC, assisting with the management and tracking of PACE participant institutionalizations, maintaining compliance audit trackers, collecting and analyzing quality data, and supporting the medical clinic scheduler to promote efficient clinic operations and regulatory readiness.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Monitor ADT reports in EPIC daily and communicate relevant participant status changes to appropriate members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Track and assist with management of PACE participant hospitalizations, institutionalizations, admissions, discharges, and transfers to support continuity of care and required reporting
  • Maintain and update compliance audit trackers, logs, and supporting documentation to ensure timely follow-up and survey readiness
  • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze quality data for internal reporting, performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, and other quality-related materials as requested by the Quality Improvement Coordinator
  • Support the medical clinic scheduler by coordinating participant appointments, updating schedules, and communicating changes with clinic staff and the interdisciplinary team
  • Assist with quality audits, record reviews, and follow-up on action items related to compliance, participant care, and operational processes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with PACE standards, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative staff to support quality improvement efforts and resolve data or scheduling discrepancies
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned in support of the PACE program's quality and compliance functions

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED, required. Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, quality, public health, or a related field, preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Licensure and Certifications: CPR, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare administration, quality improvement support, medical office operations, scheduling, data collection, or a related field is preferred. Experience with EPIC, audit tracking, regulatory compliance support, and working with geriatric or PACE populations is preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are required.

Work Environment: This position will spend the majority of time in a standard office and clinic environment using computers, telephones, and other office equipment. Duties may require periods of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional light lifting. This position may require movement throughout the PACE center and coordination with multiple departments.
