Job Description
Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Inpatient (ICU/ED/NICU)Location: Burlington, VTDuration: 16 WeeksShift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills & Requirements:
- Provide respiratory care across Adult ICU, Emergency Department, and NICU Level III (PICU experience preferred)
- Perform patient assessments, ventilator management, airway management, and critical care interventions
- Work with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment
- Float between units as required and maintain flexibility with scheduling, including weekends
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation using Epic EMR system
Requirements:
- Must hold Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (CRT not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Recent Epic experience (within the last 2 years) required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Travel experience preferred
- Strong experience in NICU (Level III required; levels must be specified in work history)
- All prior work history must be fully documented (including specialties, facility details, and employment gaps over 90 days explained)
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
