As a Senior Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning and AI solutions that solve complex business problems and create measurable impact across multiple domains. About the Team: The Data Science team within Enterprise Business Services at Walmart Global Tech leverages cutting-edge research in machine learning, statistics, and optimization to solve high-impact business problems. We collaborate with engineering to build scalable machine learning pipelines and deploy solutions that optimize operations, empower associates, and enhance the shopping experience for millions of customers worldwide.About Team: Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.What you'll do: Develop, test, and deploy data science and AI/ML solutions — including data preparation, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment — ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment with business goals. Translate business challenges into analytical or machine learning problems by selecting and applying suitable statistical and computational methods to generate actionable insights. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to translate insights into practical, data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience What you'll bring:- Solid foundation in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data science, with the ability to design, build, and evaluate models that solve complex business problems.
- Practical experience developing and deploying AI and ML solutions, including exposure to LLMs and emerging agentic AI systems that enhance automation and intelligent decision-making.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks, with experience building and maintaining scalable data science and AI/ML pipelines.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing within cross-functional teams.
