We are currently looking to fill a Senior Data Analyst role at our Headquarters!

SALARY:

  • The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $72,000 and $79,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide advanced data analytics support to Evaluation Managers, including data analysis, data source improvements, and streamlined processes for efficient data cleaning and reporting. 
  • Support program-specific and agency-wide Tableau dashboard builds.
  • Conduct rigorous data cleaning and analysis utilizing advanced software tools, such as R, SQL, or Python.
  • Utilize existing databases for evaluation purposes, including writing SQL queries and monitoring data quality and integrity.
  • Provide support, training, and technical assistance to program and administrative staff, including guidance on interpretation and usage for non-technical staff.  
  • Manage and mentor data analytics associates and interns, ensuring a balanced workload that aligns with strategic priorities and fosters professional development. 
  • Lead or support data-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Review and approve materials and reports created by supervised staff to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Document data analytics processes, procedures, best practices, and project-specific decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to diverse audiences clearly and effectively.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients served, with a commitment to promoting equity in data practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant quantitative discipline or social services field with significant quantitative training, OR 8+ years of progressively more advanced work in a relevant field required.
  • Experience with data monitoring, cleaning, and analysis in a nonprofit, academic, or social services setting required.
  • Advanced quantitative analysis in R, Python, or another software required.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL experience required.
  • Advanced experience with Tableau and Tableau Prep required.
  • Supervision experience, preferably within a non-profit organization required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cover-letter required.
  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.

TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Driving not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
