They will work with salespeople on all aspects of the projects from scheduling service technicians, acquiring parts and materials for service projects, working with our customers and manufacturers to find solutions on service projects and tracking labor and parts warranties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages turnover process between Project Managers/Engineered Systems Specialists/Sales and Service.
  • Sell maintenance and service work to select clients.
  • Tracks current statuses and timelines of service and turnkey install projects.
  • Thrives on customer satisfaction.
  • Must strive to be a subject matter expert in MMS product offerings and continue to self-educate to be updated on current and new product offerings.
  • Must strive to be knowledgeable on HVAC fundamentals that include psychometrics, building automations, refrigeration, and fan laws.
  • Regularly travels to the customer's office to conduct project turnover meetings and capture customer's project expectations.
  • Ability to understand and follow project submittals. Ability to reference unit specifications within these submittals.
  • Understanding of warranty processes. Will need to track warranty parts and labor hours to submit claims to the manufacturer for reimbursement.
  • Must be willing to learn to be proficient in all MMS products and will attend any out-of-town training as necessary to qualify or remain qualified to maintain proficiency.
  • Coordinates with subcontractors for general labor, equipment integration, i.e. controls interface, test, and air balance contractors, etc.
  • Track warranty parts and equipment. Anticipate delivery and schedule service accordingly to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Form strong relationships between customers, manufacturers, sales and 3rd party contractors.
  • Acts as liaison between the factory and sales office; and the sales office and the customer.
  • Maintains accurate written records of internal and external customer correspondence to mitigate project risk.
  • Effectively communicates project progress, issues, and financial status to management as required.
  • Represents MMS and attends project contractor coordination meetings with owner, general contractor, mechanical contractor, and engineer as necessary to complete project installation and start up per project timeline.
  • Manages and maintains project profit margin. Continuously seeks new means, methods or alternate suppliers to control or reduce expense and expedite the project schedule.
  • Reviews vendor invoices for technical and commercial compliance prior to approving payment.
  • First response and regular site visits for post-delivery problems that include unit installation, start-up, etc. Must be able to accurately communicate technical details to Factory and / or Service to formulate a resolution.
  • Oversee and schedule MMS Preventive maintenance agreements.
  • Periodically answers engineered equipment application questions from potential customers and other sales channels.
  • Coordinates customer-training requirements.
  • Coordinates with Project Assistant for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collection support and monitoring, and resource management.
  • Ability to handle a variety of other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
  • Flexibility to work outside work hours/weekends, as required. Some travel with occasional overnight stays may be required to attend training customer events or out of town projects.
  • Must understand and adhere to MMS core values.
Experience and Requirements:Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • HVAC management experience.
  • Five + years related work experience.
  • Computer skills experience to include: Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
  • High level understanding of HVAC and HVAC principles from a technical perspective.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Energetic with a positive attitude that is conscientious, enthusiastic, articulate, and possesses a professional attitude to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Interact professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
  • Able to follow established sales guidelines and procedures.
