Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - The Chimes School

Compensation: $88,924 annually

The Chimes School is a nonpublic, MSDE-approved special education program serving students ages 5-21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We're known for our supportive, team-based environment, strong clinical and behavioral services, and a shared commitment to helping every student build communication, independence, and confidence.

We're expanding and looking for a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist who believes in the power of progress-one meaningful moment at a time.

What You'll Do

  • Provide speech/language evaluations and deliver therapy services (direct and consultative) aligned with student IEPs
  • Develop measurable IEP goals and collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Maintain timely documentation and ensure compliance with applicable school and state requirements (including COMAR)
  • Support staff with strategies and tools that enhance communication, including assistive technology as needed
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school-based activities

What You Bring

Education & Licensure

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Maryland SLP license (current)
  • ASHA CCC-SLP or eligibility for certification

Experience & Skills

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience (school setting or working with children/individuals with disabilities preferred)
  • Strong collaboration skills and a student-centered, compassionate approach
  • Acceptable driving record (may be required based on assignment)
