Job Description
- Efficiently move trailers between dock doors and staging areas with a strong focus on collision prevention and ground-crew safety.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all yard tractors and trailers to identify mechanical risks early.
- Ensure all parked trailers are properly chocked, secured, and sealed to prevent shifting or unauthorized access.
- Promptly identify and report equipment malfunctions, potential hazards, or unsafe yard conditions to leadership.
- Maintain precise records of trailer movements while strictly adhering to DOT and company safety protocols.
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of obstructions to prevent trips, slips, and falls.
- Support other yard and site-related tasks as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- For CDL roles:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing.
- Current and valid DOT Medical Card.
- Active compliance with DOT FMCSA Clearinghouse.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a yard spotter or similar CDL role strongly preferred.
- For Non-CDL roles:
- Previous experience operating yard trucks, or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- For all roles:
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Ability to safely maneuver and back 53' trailers in tight spaces and fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to schedule changes and unexpected delays.
- Familiarity with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) preferred.

- Option 1: Monday–Wednesday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Option 2: Thursday–Saturday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Note: Both shifts include a rotating "Every Other Sunday" requirement.
- $18 per hour
