Lanteris Space is seeking a Sr. RF Electrical Design Engineer to join us in our offices in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will design passive solutions (Filters, Diplexer, IMUX, OMUX) and active solutions (amplifiers, frequency converter, oscillators) in support of a wide range of space applications. This role is critical in the development of new satellites -- these subsystems are the building blocks of complex satellites.

Responsibilities:

Act as the Electrical Design Engineer for a variety of RF subsystems

Determine applicable specifications for each design, development, test, and/or production activity

Provide technical consultation to management and to other engineering and scientific personnel

Design, document and report on engineering progress on assigned projects

Provide technical analysis and recommendations

Support production of hardware during the production phase

Prepare and deliver briefings and issue reports on activities, analyses, experiments, and all work performed

Introduce innovative and creative techniques in area of specialtyMinimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics or a related discipline. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

5 years of related experience. A masters degree may account for two additional years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Thorough knowledge in a specific engineering or scientific field in RF technologies and engineering

CAD experience with CST, ADS, AWR

RF simulation and EM analyses

Experience interfacing with customers and/or vendors in providing solutions for technical problems

Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines

Contribute to major technical proposal efforts

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.● The base pay for this position within California is: $104,000.00 - $173,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
