The Role

This role will develop messaging for senior stakeholders across wealth and institutional client businesses, develop talking points for media, events, and critical engagements, as well as communications for internal and external audiences. The individual will work closely with senior executives to shape the brand narrative for institutional and wealth audiences, ensuring consistent positioning across media, investor engagement, internal messaging, and leadership communications. This role will partner and collaborate closely across the client marketing functions from product marketing and content, digital and campaigns and channel marketing to effectively scale executive messaging and platforms across distribution channels. This person will also collaborate closely with the communications and PR team to deliver critical updates to the global client businesses, ensuring teams are proactively informed of media coverage, business developments, and other key matters.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to define and articulate the firm’s strategic priorities, translating complex business strategies into clear, compelling narratives

  • Develop talking points, press materials, and executive remarks for key events, media engagements, and thought leadership platforms

  • Create aligned messaging frameworks to ensure positioning consistency across institutional and wealth marketing, investor relations, and internal communications

  • Collaborate with other members of the client marketing team, corporate communications, and business unit leads to create storylines, performance updates, and opportunities that reinforce the firm’s differentiation and expertise

  • Support proactive media strategy, including message development and issue positioning for critical business areas and new initiatives

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives on tone, message delivery, and communication effectiveness

  • Monitor market, media, and competitive developments to assess narrative opportunities and risks, providing briefings and recommendations to leadership

  • Contribute to internal communications efforts that foster transparency, clarity, and employee alignment with the firm’s mission and growth strategy

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in client communications, brand strategy, financial marketing, or related roles—ideally within asset management or financial services.

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into engaging, strategic messaging

  • Proven experience supporting senior leaders and managing executive communications programs

  • Understanding of institutional investment audiences, media dynamics, and regulatory considerations in financial communications

  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling sensitive information and stakeholder relationships

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $175,000 - $200,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
