Location: Fargo, ND,
Job Type: Full time, 12-month, on-going contract
Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm
Pay Range: $37 per hour
Job Description:
Summary:Supports and may lead a commodity Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for enterprise/region/division/unit. Builds and develops a supply base for procuring less complex and strategic materials, products, supplies and services. Responsible for quality, delivery, supplier performance and establishing appropriate material replenishment process. Coordinates and leads efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during the early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (PDP). Facilitates the quality planning activities with suppliers.
Major Duties:• Execute, in a supply chain of low complexity, planning activities within a defined framework/system that mainly affect own organization/unit. • Carry out a range of supplier management activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role. • Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. • Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents. • Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective. • Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements. • Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure. • Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others. • Produce, update, and provide best practice support on complex Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems, advising colleagues as needed and using expertise to help improve processes.
