Job Description

Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Nursing Education Manager

Overview:A strategic and experienced nursing leader to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all educational programs for our nursing staff. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality patient care, staff competency, and compliance with all healthcare standards through effective training and professional development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive educational curricula, including onboarding, continuing education, and specialized training.
  • Facilitate training through workshops, simulations, in-service sessions, and e-learning modules.
  • Evaluate nursing staff competencies through skills assessments and performance reviews to identify and address training gaps.
  • Ensure all educational programs adhere to state, federal, and accrediting body standards (e.g., Joint Commission, ANCC).
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership, HR, and external educators to align training with organizational goals.
  • Mentor nurse educators and preceptors to support new hires and students.
  • Monitor program effectiveness using outcomes data and feedback for continuous quality improvement.
  • Manage the education department’s budget and resources.
  • Develop and update policies related to staff education and professional development.
  • Utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to track and deliver training.

Requirements:Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in nursing education, leadership, or a related role.

Other:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), BLS Instructor, or ACLS Instructor.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Expertise in curriculum development and adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

Compensation and Benefits:Salary: $130,000 - $145,000 Per YearBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development support.
