Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician / PLC Systems Repair Specialist
Overview:Join a leading manufacturer of advanced materials for high-stress environments in aerospace, defense, medical technology, and clean energy. This is a full-time, on-site role at a union facility where you will be a core member of the maintenance team, supporting critical manufacturing and production operations. The position offers a competitive base salary, a sign-on bonus, and overtime eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, test, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, including motor drives and combustion systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), primarily Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems, using software such as RSLogix, Studio 5000, and TIA Portal.
- Lead or serve as a team member to inspect and troubleshoot electrical/electronic malfunctions using diagnostic instruments like oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ammeters.
- Replace defective components and wiring, and adjust mechanical parts using hand tools and soldering irons.
- Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications, maintaining detailed records of all work performed.
- Utilize computer-based diagnostics to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade process control equipment and PLCs.
- Instruct maintenance crews and collaborate with production teams for diagnostics and testing.
Requirements:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- An Associate's Degree in an electrical or mechanical field can substitute for experience.
Experiences
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Proven experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and Siemens highly preferred).
- Experience with PLC programming software (e.g., RSLogix, Studio 5000, TIA Portal) is a significant advantage.
Other
- Must be proficient in repairing and maintaining complex electrical/electronic systems, including PLCs and motor drives.
- This is an on-site role with no travel required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary
- Base Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year.
- $3,000 sign-on bonus.
- Overtime eligible.
