Job Description

Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Junior Structural Design Engineer

Overview:

Jumpstart your structural engineering career in sunny Sarasota, Florida! Join a dynamic team where you’ll design diverse building projects and see them come to life through on-site inspections. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to gain hands-on experience in commercial, manufacturing, adaptive reuse, and public-sector projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design structural systems for a variety of building types.
  • Conduct construction site visits to inspect structures you helped design.
  • Prepare structural drawings, technical specifications, and calculations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and architects in a supportive environment.
  • Attend client meetings and coordination sessions.
  • Utilize structural software (TEKLA, RAM, ETABS, RISA, REVIT, etc.).
  • Assist in reviewing drawings and documents to ensure quality.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s is a plus).

Experience:

  • 0–4 years of experience (internships/co-ops included).

Other:

  • EIT certification (or actively pursuing it).
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Passion for growth and future licensure.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
  • Benefits: Competitive package (details provided upon offer).

Schedule:

  • Full-time
