Accounting Manager

PCH Hotels & Resorts Corporate Office; Mobile, AL | Full-Time | On-Site

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're hiring a a new Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Finance team! If you have experience as a Staff Accountant or Financial Analyst and are ready to grow into a leadership role-this opportunity is for you.

This position works closely with our Corporate Director of Finance and supports essential accounting functions like month-end close, daily cash reporting, budget/forecast preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial reporting-following standard GAAP practices and company SOPs.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive Financial Performance: Lead key processes including daily revenue reporting, month-end closings, forecasting, and budget preparation to support high-level business decisions.
  • Own the Accounting Cycle: Oversee accounts payable, journal entries, sales tax filings, owner reimbursements, and daily cash functions-ensuring accuracy and compliance at every step.
  • Lead with Insight: Deliver clear, timely financial packages and reports while partnering with leadership to support audits, strategic planning, and overall financial health.
  • Champion Operational Excellence: Strengthen financial controls, safeguard assets through loss prevention policies, and identify process improvements that drive efficiency.
  • Inspire and Elevate Teams: Foster a positive, high-performing environment by recognizing contributions, supporting training efforts, and engaging in cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles (e.g., Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant, Accounting/Financial Analyst)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Positive team player with a strong desire to learn and grow
