Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in a rehabilitation setting. The OT will assess, plan, and implement personalized treatment programs to help patients regain independence in daily activities. Responsibilities include developing therapeutic interventions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and caregivers. Candidates must have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, a valid state license, and experience in a rehabilitation settings is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement treatment programs to enhance patient function.
- Provide training in adaptive techniques and equipment use for daily living tasks.
- Administer therapy for neurological integration and sensorimotor skills.
- Design and fabricate splints and adaptive equipment as prescribed.
- Guide residents in prevocational and rehabilitation programs.
- Educate residents and families on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient support groups.
- Maintain compliance with safety and professional standards.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Essential functions are subject to modification at the discretion of management.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Oversees Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students in patient care.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptive equipment use.
- Customer service-oriented approach.
