Job Description
We are seeking a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems Mechanic to support facility maintenance operations at a forward-deployed location in Qatar. This role requires hands-on technical expertise to inspect, maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems ranging from residential units to large-scale commercial and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, experience in high-temperature environments, and an active TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and install HVAC equipment including chillers, air handling units, VAV boxes, fan coil units, DX systems, ducts, filters, and more
• Monitor and validate testing and commissioning of HVAC systems
• Ensure HVAC installations comply with local codes and meet operational efficiency standards
• Evaluate and optimize system ventilation efficiency
• Maintain a computerized database for all preventive maintenance inspections and component changes
• Identify and manage critical spare parts inventory
• Participate in design reviews, field surveys, and reading of as-built drawings
• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) monitoring of HVAC-related work and prepare reports
• Perform level III preventive maintenance on complex HVAC systems
Must Have's:
• Active in-scope TS/SCI security clearance
• Completion of an HVAC/Refrigeration Apprenticeship or HVAC certification program
• Minimum of 7 years of HVAC experience working with package units and split systems
• At least 5 years of experience with A/C systems ranging from 5-ton units to 383-ton chillers
• Hands-on experience with residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems
Nice to Have's:
• Familiarity with Air Force or Army operational environments and mission expectations
• Fluency in a foreign language is a plus, but not required
