Title Clerk job description:
Key Responsibilities:

Processing and Filing Paperwork:Handling registration paperwork, including titles and license plates, and filing relevant tax documents.

Title Transfers and Lien Releases:Managing the process of transferring vehicle ownership and ensuring liens are properly released.

Maintaining Records:Keeping accurate records of vehicle titles, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Customer Service:Providing information and assistance to customers regarding title procedures and answering their questions.

Compliance:Ensuring that all processes and paperwork adhere to state and federal laws and regulations.

Verifying Information:Checking the accuracy of title applications and ensuring all information is complete.

Financial Management:Preparing payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins, as well as billing out dealer trades.

Communication:Acting as a point of contact for clients, attorneys, and government officials.

Staying Current:Keeping up-to-date with changes in state and federal regulations and procedures related to vehicle titles.
