Summit Truck Bodies LLC, a quality manufacturer of custom designed service and lube truck bodies, is expanding its workforce due to increasing sales. Summit Truck Bodies is looking for a Welding Robotic Programmer to increase production capacity through the programming and operating of our automated welding robotics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide general programming and engineering support to robotic welding operations.
- Optimization of current robotic welding programs to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
- Follow defined weld schedules
- Partner with the maintenance staff to define proper preventative maintenance schedules and ensure reliable operations.
- Independently operate robotic welding equipment.
- Successfully utilize fixtures as required to set up jobs.
- Ability to make minor adjustments as needed to operate robotic welding equipment.
- Responsible for product quality, workmanship and process applications consistent with the company's manufacturing objectives.
- Operational and setup knowledge of automated/robotic weld cells and resistance welders.
- Knowledge on welding specification requirements, print reading, and weld evaluation techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Frequent mobility and / or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged / extended periods.
- Requires lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Requires stretching to reach items up to 50 pounds.
- Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
- Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
- Requires exposure to chemicals and solvents.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- Requires working in a fast-paced environment
- Requires a normal range of hearing and vision
- Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations
- Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.
- 1 year of experience in robotic welding or related role preferred.
- Certified for all welding operations, methods, and processes preferred.
- Excellent creativity, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to utilize a computer with basic software skills.
- Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
