Job Description
Position Summary/Objective:
The Senior Video Editor is responsible for overseeing the editorial and production workflow for television and digital content. This role requires expertise in visual journalism, non-linear editing, and the creation of compelling short-form productions. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment, collaborating closely with managers and designers. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects) and color grading is essential. Audio mixing and sweetening skills are a plus. Experience in sports media and the ability to quickly understand the sport’s nuances are critical.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adapt scripts to align with production concepts and project requirements.
- Maintain strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and technical aptitude with a keen visual sense.
- Edit and color-grade original digital video content in Adobe Premiere; create custom graphics and assets in After Effects and Photoshop.
- Work within a tapeless workflow and manage a digital-only archive.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and the digital team to meet project expectations and deliver high-quality content.
- Offer creative and innovative solutions to enhance video projects.
- Compile and organize Broll footage for PR, marketing, and partner services.
- Deliver custom video assets for internal and external distribution.
- Produce commercials, infomercials, in-arena elements, social media videos, and sponsor sizzle reels.
- Upload and catalog footage of requested riders, bulls, and sponsors.
- Maintain an organized video library
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Experience in 2D and 3D animation design.
- Strong storytelling ability through editing techniques.
- Creative, solution-oriented mindset with strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to clip and package video content for promotional purposes across multiple platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in audio and video sweetening in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Adaptability to the fast-changing landscape of nationally televised sports entertainment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Broadcast Media, Digital Cinema, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in video editing, television, preferably in sports and entertainment.
Working Conditions:

- Fort Worth Office Based (non-remote), sports TV non-traditional weekday hours.
- Ability to travel for events as required.
- Flexibility for extended hours, including weekends, based on production needs.
