Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic, experienced international tax leader to oversee and drive our international tax strategy, compliance, and planning activities. Reporting to the Global Tax Director, the role will serve as the key point of contact for all international tax matters, ensuring that our operations remain compliant with evolving tax laws while optimizing the global effective tax rate. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to advise senior executives and manage cross-border tax issues in a fast-paced, global environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Lead the preparation and review of global income tax provisions and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740 for both individual legal entities and on a consolidated global basis, with a primary focus on international subsidiaries.

  • Oversee the reconciliation of income tax accounts to ASC 740-compliant balances, including income tax provisions, accrued income taxes, and deferred tax assets and liabilities.

  • Manage U.S. tax compliance obligations related to international operations, including but not limited to:

  • Earnings & Profits (E&P) calculations

  • Foreign tax credit computations

  • GILTI inclusions

  • Preparation and review of associated filings such as Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, and related schedules.

  • Transform existing transfer pricing policies and practices into a Transfer Pricing Center of Excellence, responsible for:

  • Developing and managing global transfer pricing policies and governance frameworks.

  • Monitoring intercompany transactions and ensuring alignment with OECD BEPS guidelines.

  • Standardizing documentation, compliance, and reporting across jurisdictions.

  • Coordinating with external advisors on economic analyses and country-specific studies.

  • Leading the company's country-by-country (CbC) reporting and master/local file strategy.

  • Collaborate closely with global finance and business teams to:

  • Evaluate the tax consequences of cross-border transactions and ensure proper reporting and documentation.

  • Conduct technical research on complex international tax issues and communicate implications to senior leadership.

  • Proactively monitor and interpret changes in global tax laws and accounting standards to assess impact and guide decision-making.

  • Design and implement process improvements, with clear oversight of local finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Lead and execute international tax planning initiatives, including development of modeling to assess tax impact and presentation of recommendations to senior finance leadership.

  • Support management of international tax audits and controversy matters in collaboration with local teams and external advisors.

  • Direct implementation of evolving international tax standards, including:

  • Implementation and ongoing compliance with OECD Pillar Two requirements

  • Related GAAP reporting enhancements and disclosure obligations.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA credentials or an advanced degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with international tax matters for a large multinational corporation or CPA firm
  • Advanced understanding of ASC 740 and its application is required.
  • A working knowledge of U.S. GAAP as applied to consolidation, foreign currency, non-controlling interests, and intercompany transactions (including intercompany debt and investments in subsidiaries)
  • Experience with a system of consolidation like OneStream or Host preferred.

  • Ability to successfully multitask including leading a small team and communicating with peers and leadership within the project execution scope

Supervisory/Responsibility:

This position will have 2-3 direct reports
