POSITION SUMMARY

The Settlement Coordinator will be the lead for all accounting and ticket related questions. They will work diligently behind the scenes to make sure our customers and carriers are getting paid quickly and correctly. This position is a major pillar in making sure our operations run smoothly to ensure our carriers and customers continue coming back to work with Hill Brothers.

  • This position gives a full 360 of what the back office looks like in the transportation industry. There are tickets that need to be settled, Bill of Ladings, Weight Losses, Detention Requests, all issues that happen daily in the Logistics world.
  • This position requires an attention to detail and strong organization skills.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Verify the accuracy of load settlements based upon documentation turned in by carriers
  • Review discrepancies with Customers or Carriers to resolve settlement issues
  • Support the Accounting Team by being the point person for any settlement issues
  • Follow up on proof of deliveries, accessorial charges, weight losses, etc.
  • Make sure the efficiencies of closing out loads from start to finish
  • Consistently report to work as required and complete normal work hours
  • Comply with company policies and procedures

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university)

Certification: TIA Certified Transportation Broker (preferred)

Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
