Job Description

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Nursing, invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty position on our Castleton campus for Fall 2025.

Course NUR-2510 Evident Based Practice - Wednesday's 2:00pm - 4:30pm - 3 credits. 

This course will explore inquiry and scholarship in the nursing discipline with a focus on providing students with foundational knowledge regarding critical appraisal and research utilization for the provision of nursing practice that is evidence based. The student will learn the importance of inquiry, how to formulate a clinical question, perform database searches, critically analyze evidence and complete a literature review. Additionally, the course will review how informatics and technology are used to provide care, gather data, drive decision making and support the nursing discipline.  The course is scheduled for Wednesday's 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 
Qualified candidates must possess (at minimum) a Master's degree in Nursing. An active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure and valid driver's license is required. 

Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.  The compensation or range of compensation for this role can be found Part-Time Faculty Federation Agreement to the particular collective bargaining agreement.
