Kitchen Assistant & Maintenance Support- On Call

We are currently looking to fill an On- call  Kitchen Assistant/Maintenance Support role at our HACC Family Center.

 SALARY:

• The average hourly rate for this position will fall in the range of $16 and $17 hourly. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Vacuum, sweep, mop, sanitize areas, restock supplies, dust, empty trash and maintain janitorial closets/equipment.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans.
• Peel and prepare vegetables for meals.
• Set up and maintain food items; check appropriate temperature of food and expiration dates.
• Transport meals to classrooms and other serving areas.
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Basic Knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ years' experience in Kitchen and Janitorial Services required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.

 TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Driving not required. Travel between sites not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
