CMFG Life Insurance Company, d/b/a TruStage., is seeking an IT Security Engineer. This individual may work remotely anywhere in the United States, but will report to the company HQ in Madison, WI. The individual in this position will be responsible for risk assessments and development of security policies and strategies, while maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, availability and accountability of data for TruStage and its subsidiaries. The IT Security Engineer will provide operational and tactical support for IT Security technology and processes.
Responsibilities include processing alerts, handling system failures, identifying root causes, and documenting events for resolution. Prioritizing to meet service levels, developing influencing skills, maintaining security based on best practices, and technical development in IT Security systems. Acquiring IT Security expertise and participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information system, or related field and 2 years of demonstrated proficiency with Information Security Audit, Identity Management or Architecture focus. As part of the 2 years of Information Security Audit, Identity Management or Architecture, the individual must have:
- 2 years' experience in the following CISSP Common Body of Knowledge areas: Access Control Systems and Methodology, Cryptography, Operations Security, Physical Security, Security Architecture and Models, Network, and Internet Security.
- 2 years' experience of information security concepts in at least eight of the following areas: digital forensics, cryptography, incident response, managed security services, web filtering, network security, patch management, penetration testing, antivirus detection, vulnerability management, web security, wireless security, security information management, OS security, application development security, database security, endpoint security, business continuity, email security, storage security, access control software, strong authentication, PKI, identity management, password management, audit & compliance, security policy, risk management, software development lifecycle.
- Must have technical certifications in:
- Okta Certified Professional
- Fortinet Network Security Associate (NSE2)
- ForgeRock (ping) OpenAM and OpenIdM

Base Pay Range: $119,063 - $149,449
