- Acts as liaison between the Epidemiology Team, Immunization Team, Clinical Health Services team and the specimen processing lab.
- Aids in the data entry and preparation of reports using various databases.
- May require providing vacation or sick leave coverage as needed for medical assistant related duties.in the various clinical settings.
- Provide vaccination at community locations to include extended hours and weekend hours.
- Work closely with the Mobile Health Unit driver to plan/organize community outreach events as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor and HHS leadership.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMIUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma and Certified Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Tech certification required.
- 2 years demonstrated experience in a public health or clinical health setting.
- Ability to use Electronic health records.
- Basic data entry skills; organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
- Current Texas Driver License, eligible to drive a county vehicle. Class A or B driver license preferred, but not required.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $17.95 - $22.44 hourly based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
